TCH will provide assistance of up to $2,500.00 to help regional employees with initial rental expenses for leasing or moving into a rental unit. Qualified expenses may include first or last months rent, moving expenses or other expenses associated with renting housing. Damage or security deposits are not eligible for assistance.
In order to be considered, an applicant will need to meet the qualifications of the jurisdiction in which the unit is located – Telluride, Mountain Village, unincorporated San Miguel County. If the unit is not within one of these locations, you must be able to show that you have been employed within the boundaries of the Telluride R- 1 School district for at least 12 months with a minimum of 1400 hours worked and/or be able to show that you have secured future employment at an equal rate.
All applicants must submit an application and be qualified by the SMRHA to ensure that the work requirements are met.

No applicants for assistance may own improved residential property within the
boundaries of the Telluride R-1 School District or the jurisdiction in which the rental
housing unit is located if outside of the Telluride R-1 School District.
All applicants who qualify will be required to provide receipts evidencing
expenditure of assistance funds for rent or other authorized rental expenses.
